In an expressive commemoration of the 9/11 events, the Walk of Unity will consist of a 10 km walk, set to take place this 9/11, from Abingdon Street Gardens, London. This event holds a dual significance – honouring the commitment made on 9/11 by our armed forces to protect the nation and the unity that can emerge from diversity.
The campaign aims not only to raise awareness and funds for the British Armed Forces but also to promote inclusivity and recognition of the valuable contributions of ethnic minority individuals. It addresses the crucial need for a more diverse and representative armed forces, instilling a sense of belonging and shared responsibility.
Mr Shaheen Chishti, the driving force behind this movement, emphasises, "Our campaign is a tribute to the unifying spirit that emerged from the tragedy of 9/11.
