The Academy for Chief Executives, the UK's leading executive coaching and mentoring organisation, welcomes the news that two members of the Academy Group 45 for South and West Yorkshire have scooped a handful of coveted awards.
Bonmarché CEO Beth Butterwick won Yorkshire Woman of the Year (Larger Business) at the inaugural Barclays Women in Business Awards earlier this month and Origin Broadband CEO Oliver Bryssau, 25, received the prestigious title of UK Business of the Year and UK Young person in Business of the Year at The UK Chamber Awards in December.
Both CEOs credit the support given by membership of the Academy as helping them on their path to success.
Beth Butterwick Bonmarché CEO says: “'Bonmarché has gone through an incredible growth journey in the last three years; from administration to a successful listing on the AIM stock exchange. As its leader, I can absolutely attribute certain decisions we've made or actions taken, to the support and advice I've received from my ACE 45 Group colleagues. So beneficial have I found ACE's environment, that one of my direct reports has since joined the newly created ACE Director Group. Therefore, not only is it a valuable day out of the day job, reflecting on my company's 'direction of travel', but from an advice perspective it really is 'the Board I could never afford!''
As a young person in business, Origin Broadband CEO Oliver Bryssau, 25, has found invaluable the peer networking model that the Academy provides. “I've really benefited from the combined experience of the group and have found it a great place to find solutions to specific issues that I face in the workplace.”
Kevin Kerley Chairman of The Academy for Chief Executives South & West Yorkshire says: “I'm very proud that both Beth Butterwick and Oliver Bryssau have been acknowledged in this way. Coaching and mentoring is an incredibly powerful way to help people realise their ambitions and these awards demonstrate that the combined power of an Academy group can really grow winners.”
The Academy for Chief Executives approaches its 21st birthday next year and has forged a strong, diverse community of over 400 dynamic UK business leaders who together promote business excellence and shared learning. The Academy grows leaders and transforms businesses by inspiring CEOs to become more professional, more fulfilled and more successful.
