The National Apprenticeship Service has teamed up with West Bromwich Albion FC to provide discounted match tickets for apprentices and their employers when Albion take on Stoke City, in the Barclays Premier League, on Saturday March, 14.
National Apprenticeship Week runs from 9 to 13 March 2015 and will celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is co-ordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service and is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
National Apprenticeship Week 2015 is all about:
- getting more small businesses to take on apprentices
- promoting the range and breadth of apprenticeships on offer, including those at Higher level and within blue chip companies
- celebrating apprenticeships and the level of success that learners can achieve
There will be statistical evidence and case studies to get these messages across.
For example:
- 1,000 businesses are now involved in designing the new apprenticeship standards?
- or that there are 1,500 different apprenticeships on offer in more than 170 industries?
- or that the government invested £1.5bn in apprenticeships in 2013 to 2014?
- or that businesses report an average increase in productivity by £214 a week when they hire apprentices?
National Apprenticeship Week 2015 is expected to be even more successful than in 2014 in delivering employer commitments (The National Apprenticeship Week 2014 - outputs and results file demonstrates this year’s successes), gathering support and celebrating the programme, reinforcing their 'Get in. Go Far' marketing campaign.
West Bromwich Albion's Barclays Premier League game verses Stoke City kicks-off at 3.00pm.
