The race continues to reach the prestigious 2016 BBL Cup Final at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham on Sunday January 17 as the last remaining teams all continue to dream of stepping out in front of another huge crowd at the venue. One of the most eagerly anticipated dates in the British Basketball calendar, this season's first piece of silverware will be handed out to one of five clubs still left standing.
Three teams have already punched their ticket to the Semi-Finals, including London Lions who beat Worcester Wolves 77-70 to make the last four for the first time in six years.
And, they have been drawn against Leicester Riders who had to hold their nerve to edge past Sheffield Sharks 62-60.
Current BBL Cup holders Esh Group Eagles Newcastle were the first team to cement their place in the Semi-Finals and will go up against either Cheshire Phoenix or Bristol Flyers who meet each other on Sunday in the last remaining Quarter-Final.
