When it comes to equality, diversion, and inclusion, every educational institution faces unique challenges.
One company, EDI Quality Mark, is on a mission to support academic facilities in fostering an inclusive community with their consultancy services and free online workshops.
For the advancement of education to be truly equitable, it is vital that every student is afforded equal opportunities. With equality, diversity, and inclusion pivotal to progress, EDI Quality Mark is excited to introduce two initiatives aimed at revolutionising the way schools embrace EDI.
These initiatives, the EDI Quality Mark and free online workshops, aim to empower educators and create inclusive learning environments that celebrate diversity. The EDI Quality Mark represents a comprehensive approach that goes beyond racial equality, embracing all nine protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010.
Schools can enrol in an accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course, which enhances their EDI expertise. As a testament to their commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, schools will receive a commitment certificate.
Virtual support through online sessions and scheduled calls ensures that schools receive guidance and support along the way. The co-authored strategy allows staff to actively participate in embedding EDI at all levels, fostering a sense of collective responsibility.
Schools can showcase their EDI journey through evidence presented in a PowerPoint presentation. The free online workshops provide school staff with the tools and insights necessary to foster an inclusive classroom environment.
With fifteen fully funded workshops, educators can access these resources easily through CPD Solutions. Due to limited availability, early bookings are recommended to secure a spot in these workshops.
Hartwell Mhunduru, Director of EDI Quality Mark, emphasises the significance of these initiatives, saying: "The EDI Quality Mark embodies our vision for an inclusive educational future.
“It's a step toward creating schools that celebrate diversity, ensuring every student and staff member thrives, irrespective of their background. Together, we're shaping a more inclusive educational landscape."
