A UK-based blogging network for dads has proved so supremely successful that it is organising it’s first ever ‘Day of the Dad.’ The day will see dads coming together to celebrate dadhood in all its forms just ahead of Father’s Day.
The free event, at Tattershall Castle on London’s Embankment on Saturday 13th June, has been organised by The Dad Network UK. The network is a hub and support system of over 900 dads, including some dad bloggers. ‘Day of the Dad’ will enable them all, to meet in the real, as opposed to virtual, world.
Al Ferguson, founder of The Dad Network UK said; “It’s a very simple event; we want to organise a gathering for dads to come together, meet other dads and discuss fatherhood in a relaxed environment.”
“For this one day, we want to give dads the chance to socialise and mingle with other dads. All dads will be welcome at Tattershall Castle on 13th June 2015”
The agenda for the day is very simple. It is an opportunity for dads to take a day out of their hectic weekend schedule to socialise with other fathers.
Ferguson’s inspiration was the Dad 2.0 summit in the US; an event gathering dads to one place to celebrate being dads! “We wanted this event to start off low key and informal but who knows, one day this could evolve into a conference like Dad 2.0 Summit.”
Day of the Dad is a free event but participants will need a ticket to attend. These are available from www.thedadnetwork.co.uk/dayofthedad The event will run from 1230hrs to 1730hrs.
Day of the Dad has been sponsored by Ella’s Kitchen and Tommee Tippee.
