Whether you're going gluten-free yourself or you're ready to add gluten-free baking to your repertoire, you are now able to come and learn everything about coeliac-friendly baking with the expert tutors at Squires Kitchen International School. Choose from three new classes coming up in 2016 – Gluten-Free Baking: Bread & Pastries, Gluten-Free Baking: Cakes, and Bake and Decorate Cupcakes Gluten-Free. All classes are held at The Grange, a stunning Georgian style building in Farnham, Surrey.
These new classes are taught by Squires Kitchen's resident baking experts, Marianne Stewart and Bea Harling, who each have a wealth of experience and knowledge in all things gluten-free.
With helpful hints and tips about successful gluten-free baking, Bea and Marianne will share their expert advice on how to adapt to gluten-free alternatives and the exciting wheat-free ingredients you can work with. They will also take you through the different types of flours and other ingredients available on the market so you gain the confidence to bake gluten-free in your home or for your business.
Some of the gorgeous goodies you'll bake and take home include a gluten-free white or seeded loaf, a Victoria sponge cake, a seasonal fruit and almond tart, shortcake biscuits and a wonderful fudgy chocolate almond cake as well as all the recipes to have a go in your own kitchen.
Also new for 2016 is the Gluten-Free Kitchen Sunday Workshop – a great introduction to baking delicious free-from goodies with ease, including a super-healthy seeded gluten-free loaf and moist Chocolate Financiers. You'll also create your own batch of fondant-topped cupcakes and 'everything' cookies to take away with you, adding your choice of ingredients to create signature flavours.
