Tatra Photography has unveiled a luxury two week package running from 27 November – 10 December 2016 giving photographers the chance to shoot the magical journey through the 'Golden Land' of Myanmar. The tour will give keen photographers the opportunity to see the ancient treasures, mythical landscapes and magical temples of Myanmar.
Photographers will spend one week travelling aboard a private luxurious charter ship. The trip will give guests a chance to discover fascinating cultural sites along the longest river in Myanmar – the Ayeyarwady. Along the way they will visit temples, pagodas, palaces, forgotten villages, ancient towns and monasteries.
Guests will cruise north up the Ayeyarwady River, travelling from Yangon to Mandalay and stopping at all the best photographic locations along the way. The package caters for those new to photography as well as seasoned pros, with masterclasses in landscape and travel photography from Tatra Photography's professional photographers.
The tutors for this tour are Mark Bauer, Ross Hoddinott and Adam Burton who are among the UK's leading landscape photographers. Their work has been published in publications such as Digital SLR, National Geographic and Outdoor Photography.
The package begins with two nights at the five star Sule Shangri-La Hotel in downtown Yangon, with river-facing rooms overlooking the historic quarter, lush tropical trees and shining pagodas.
The budding photographers will then enjoy two nights at the Aureum Inle Resort set on the tranquil Inle Lake. The lavishly decorated rooms feature a private living room and luxury amenities with an enviable view of the sunset reflecting off the lake.
One week will be spent aboard the luxurious Ananda, a ship built by local craftsmen and made especially for travel in the Myanmar Rivers. There are twenty spacious suites aboard with beautifully crafted furnishings in each room. The rooms showcase traditional Burmese materials including teak wood, local fabrics and lacquerware. Guests could relax in the Thambyadine Spa and Gym or admire the uninterrupted views of the river from the Kansi Panorama Lounge.
Four days will be spent exploring Bagan where the photographers will visit the great Ananda temple, regarded as one of the most beautiful temples in Myanmar. There will also be the chance to capture the magic of the golden Shwezigon Pagoda and bustling Nyaung U local market in Bagan on camera.
“We are very excited to be able to offer these luxurious photography packages to such a culturally and historically special location,” said Matt Jevons, founder of Tatra Photography.
“Photographers of any level will relish the opportunity to discover the diverse range of sites in Myanmar – from capturing a deep red sky behind the Ananda temple to shooting the pagoda sprinkled hills of Sagaing”, continued Jevons.
Packages include return flights from London Heathrow, internal flights and all accommodation. Guests have a choice of deluxe suites, luxury suites and owner's suites.
