A new finding by CasinoAlpha.com has found that Jung Kook, a renowned member of BTS, has now garnered more monthly listeners on Spotify as a solo artist than the entire group. As per the latest data, Jung Kook boasts 35,407,241 monthly listeners, while BTS stands at 35,137,160.
Not only does Jung Kook shine in performances, but he also showcases immense earning potential in royalties.
According to online royalty calculator MusicGateway, since its debut on July 14th, his song 'Seven' has amassed 393 million plays, which is estimated to translate to more than $1.5 million in royalties.
This figure eclipses the estimated $564,000 that BTS's 'Take Two' has garnered since its June 9th release by more than $1 million.
Jung Kook's Spotify achievement has sparked a massive reaction online, particularly on X (formerly known as Twitter), where “Ended BTS” is currently trending with approximately 3,500 posts.
Tudor Turiceanu, Chief Editor at CasinoAlpha.com commented on the findings: "Jung Kook’s rise in monthly listeners showcases his unique talent and the diverse appeal inherent in BTS. While the group continues to be a global phenomenon, it's inspiring to see individual members also making their mark.”
“The dedication of the fans, often referred to as the ‘ARMY’, has played a significant part in boosting Jung Kook’s solo presence. Often, fans will be against solo moves like this, but the fan base has helped Jung Kook become one of the biggest K-pop artists in the world.”
