People from across Birmingham and surrounding areas affected by muscular dystrophy or related neuromuscular conditions will be coming together at the Arden Hotel on the 31st of October for a meeting of the Birmingham Muscle Group. The Birmingham Muscle Group, organised by Muscular Dystrophy UK, is a support and information group for people and their families with muscle wasting conditions. Meetings are an opportunity for them to come to meet others facing similar challenges, as well as a chance to discuss the types of support that help them to live with and manage their condition.
These forthcoming meetings will be focused on exercise, such as physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, which are vital in helping people to manage their condition. It will also provide the chance for people to share tips and advice on accessing services in their area.
