Reverend Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC), issues the following statement in response to the NAACP’s "so-called travel advisory” for Florida: “We can only draw one reasonable conclusion from the so-called travel advisory issued by the NAACP for the State of Florida.
“The once venerable NAACP has fully surrendered its moral voice to brazen, partisan hackery. Rather than using its platform to actually hold politicians to account, it is prostituting its influence to advance an insane political agenda.
“Instead of being ashamed of itself, the NAACP should just read the room: plenty of people of colour, beginning with Latinos, actually want their religious freedom, parental rights and dignity intact. They will not stand by while politicians trade the future of their children on the altar of woke, political expediency.
“Many members of America’s Black churches and Latino churches thank God every day that they live in the free state of Florida.” Rev. Rodriguez is the president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC), the world’s largest Hispanic Christian organisation with U.S. churches and many additional churches spread throughout the Spanish-speaking diaspora.
He stands recognised by CNN, FOX News, Univision and Telemundo as America’s most influential Latino/Hispanic faith leader.
