The school holidays may be coming to a close, but families looking for a great, low-cost day out can still take advantage of free trails at three of Severn Trent’s visitor sites.
The themed trails run until Sunday 3rd September at Derbyshire’s Carsington Water, Draycote Water in Warwickshire and Tittesworth Water in Staffordshire. The trails give families a fantastic, affordable day out, combining activities with a splash of education focussing on nature, Severn Trent’s Fantastic Fun Facts, and a scavenger hunt.
Sue McIntosh, Visitor Experience Team Lead at Severn Trent, said: “We all know how hard it can be to find activities to keep kids entertained during the summer holidays, and our free trails offer a great experience for the whole family out and about at some of our brilliant visitor sites.
“There are loads of things to do at our sites alongside the trails, including walks, playgrounds, activities and more, so they offer a really jam-packed, great value day out.” Aside from the cost of parking, the day is completely free, and families can collect activity sheets for each trail from the on-site visitor centre or hub, no pre-booking is required.
The trails running at each site are:
- Carsington Water: Severn Trent Fantastic Fun Facts – follow our trail to test your knowledge and find the right answers to learn mind-blowing facts about your water and pipes
- Draycote Water: Nature Trail – learn all about nature heroes by following the trail and finding clues to complete the crossword
- Tittesworth Water: Scavenger Hunt – create your own wild art by scavenging for nature and finding 10 things from the trail sheet
