Almost 100 highly-qualified and senior travel buyers from around the world will participate in the World Travel Market (WTM) Latin America 2015 Hosted Buyers program at the third edition of the event, which will take place from April 22-24 at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, alongside the 43 Braztoa Business Meeting.
Top quality buyers’ from both the Leisure tourism and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Congresses and Exhibitions) industry have been carefully selected to take advantage of the great business potential WTM Latin America has to offer. Last year, WTM Latin America generated $341 million in business deals signed at the event and through negotiations after the event with the 2015 show expected to exceed this amount.
Hosted Buyers that will be in attendance include Managers, Directors and CEO’s of agencies and tour operators, DMCs (Destination Management Companies) and MICE agencies from around the globe, from renowned companies such Agaxtur (Argentina), Road Scholar (United States) and Mercury Travels Ltd (India), among others.
These selected buyers are entitled to a number of benefits such as pre-scheduled meetings with their chosen exhibitors, which last year were in excess of 3,000 meetings. Other exclusive benefits include formal and informal networking opportunities, accommodation and transfers, as well as a contribution towards their air fare.
“Being a hosted buyer in the right place excites me a lot. The program connects DMCs, Tourism Councils and hotels with buyers who propagate and strengthen their businesses. My expectation is to absorb everything I can during the WTM Latin America and do many business deals, “said Penelope Bannerman, a buyer from Curious Traveller, South Africa.
WTM Latin America Hosted Buyers will attend the popular WTM Latin America Speed Networking session, taking place on Thursday 23 April, giving all buyers at the event the opportunity to do business with more than 600 exhibitors, as well the Embratur speed Networking Session which is taking place on the last day of the event, Friday, April 24.
Lawrence Reinisch, Director of WTM Latin America explains: “With a more demanding selection process this year, we guarantee not only the quality that is expected by our exhibitors, but greater security for exhibitors, as they will be dealing exclusively with the decision makers and the people with purchasing responsibility. This will help achieve a record amount of business, surpassing the $341 million that was achieved in 2014.”
