Birmingham Law Society has launched its 2024 Legal Awards – its annual search for the top talent within the region’s Legal community. Alice Kinder, the newly sworn-in President of the Birmingham Law Society – and the Society’s youngest ever President in its 205-year history – said about the launch: “As the President of the Birmingham Law Society, I am delighted that one of my first acts is to launch the Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards 2024.
“In line with my themes of community and opportunity, this year’s awards have been revised to ensure every facet of our vibrant legal profession is recognized and celebrated. With that in mind, we will be introducing three new awards for 2024:
- Outstanding Student Contribution of the Year,
- Junior Barrister of the Year (10 years’ call and under),
- Legal PA of the Year.
“Whether you are an experienced practitioner, an innovator, a rising star, or someone who is providing exceptional support to the delivery of legal services, these awards are designed to be inclusive and give every deserving individual and organisation the chance to step into the spotlight. With nominations now open, I would like to encourage as many people as possible to participate.
“Put forward those who inspire you, share your own successes, and embrace this opportunity to be part of a celebration that highlights not just the incredible talent in our local legal community, but also the collaborative spirit that defines us.” Sponsors of the Legal Awards 2024 include JM Glendinning Insurance Brokers and St Philips Chambers.
