The Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB), along with Destination Hub partners St. Maarten, St. Martin and St. Barths, showcased the region and engaged with yacht builders, brokers and yachting enthusiasts at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show.
“Today’s yachting enthusiasts are not content to remain on their crafts – they want to embark on underwater excursions, explore secluded islands via tender, drive all-terrain vehicles across challenging landscapes and connect with local communities,” stated Mr. Kenroy Herbert, Chairman of the Anguilla Tourist Board.
“Anguilla offers all this and more – from championship golf and excellent tennis facilities to luxury spa retreats, superb resorts and exceptional dining. We are ideally located and perfectly positioned to meet the needs and aspirations of these discerning travellers.”
A major development on the horizon is the Unified Cruising Permit, a significant initiative in collaboration with the Government of Anguilla, the Anguilla Tourist Board, and their partners in St. Barths, French St. Martin, and Dutch St. Maarten. This Unified Permit, which is close to being finalized, will allow yachts to cruise freely between the four destinations, making it more convenient for yacht owners and charter companies to explore this beautiful region.
Destination Hub hosted an informative seminar on September 27th, which attracted an excellent turnout of more than 50 agents. The seminar provided an invaluable platform for partners to connect with brokers, captains, and yacht owners.
The member destinations highlighted their unique offerings and surprised their guests with special incentives and prize giveaways. Anguilla’s Malliouhana and Belmond Cap Juluca luxury hotels each offered three-night stays in premium rooms, with breakfast; beautiful Sandy Island offered 2 gift certificates for a delightful lunch for two.
The Destination Hub partners also conducted an exclusive interview with Superyachts.com, providing an additional opportunity to present the Hub's abundant offerings. This cutting-edge online platform is renowned for its yachting expertise and lifestyle content tailored for high-net-worth individuals.
The grand finale of the Monaco Yacht Show experience was a spectacular cocktail party hosted by Destination Hub on the closing day of the event. The celebration was a resounding success, with over 80 attendees including captains, yacht brokers, and owners, and cemented the connections forged during this exceptional showcase.
The Monaco yacht show featured a diverse exhibition of 560 carefully selected exhibitors, representing excellence and innovation in yachting: naval designers and architects, yacht equipment providers, service providers and destination representatives, as well as manufacturers of tenders and nautical gadgets. The impressive fleet assembled at Port Hercule comprised 117 superyachts in total, including 3 exceptional catamarans which made this event the ultimate gathering of maritime luxury.
The show welcomed 58 yachts presented by shipyards and 59 yachts presented by brokers. This balance of yacht builders and brokers ensured a diverse presentation of new builds and charter yachts.
