Local charity for sight loss and complex needs, Focus Birmingham, will host a Christmas Fair at their Harborne facility on Saturday 9 December between 12 – 4pm.
There will be real live reindeer, crafts, festive bake-off judged by Harborne WI, and a fabulous sensory grotto. Speaking about the event, Focus Birmingham CEO, Cate Burke, commented: “We have been overwhelmed by the support for our Christmas Fair.
“Besides having real live reindeer on site, what will make our Christmas Fair stand out from the crowd will be our sensory grotto. We have designed a grotto especially for people living with sight loss and complex disabilities.
“We can adapt the space, decorations, smells, lights and sounds to suit specific needs. The grotto is completely sold out, thus proving the need for this special feature at this time of year.
“This Christmas Fair is a great opportunity for us to showcase the work of Focus, the people we support, our staff and local craftspeople. It is just one of many projects and activities we run across the charity and we are extremely proud of everyone taking part.”
