Fans of the South American liar dice game are gearing up for the return of the world championship regional qualifier to Glasgow this spring.
Following the rip-roaring success of last year's Perudo championships, players are preparing to battle it out on Wednesday 13 May to secure the sought after title of Scottish Perudo Champion.
Around 30 Perudo fans will be putting their skills to the test from 7pm onwards at the Citizen Hotel, and the top two finalists will play against other regional finalists in the prestigious world championship in November.
This year marks 26 successful years of Perudo, which is played in universities and club around the world, and this addictive game is enjoying an ongoing increase in sales.
Keen Perudo players can register to play in the Scottish qualifier at www.perudoworldchamps.co.uk
Regional qualifiers will also take place in Southampton in May and in London in September.
Perudo, by Paul Lamond Games, is a game which is part-luck and part-skill. Playing well requires an ability to deceive and also to detect your opponent's deception. There's no board, no setting-up, and no complicated rules... just an exciting game of guesswork, bluff and luck which can be played anywhere by anybody.
The player who makes it to the annual final can look forward to an evening of fun, excitement and intense skillful bluffing at the prestigious and exclusive The Groucho Club in Soho.
