Living, growing and working in Birmingham all his life, business man and entrepreneur, Teval Stephens, has announced that he will be standing as a candidate in the coming general election, representing the Respect Party contesting the Birmingham Yardley constituency.
Recruitment Consultant, Teval, has been running his own business for the past five years, specialising in recruiting IT and Technical skills for some of the largest and well-known names in its field, in professional services and science.
Passionate about making a better and more equal society, with peace and justice for all, he says he is proud of his home town; “As someone who has lived in the Small Heath part of constituency for 35 years, this is why I am standing for election in Yardley this May.
I plans to give representation of people from the same background as me in the Houses of Parliament.”
He has worked in almost every industry from labouring in construction to serving in retail and security before starting a successful sales career and in 2009, in the middle of the worst recession in living memory, he opened his own business that has enjoyed year-on-year profits.
The British general election takes place on Thursday, May 7.
