A new Leamington venue, Bedford Street, supported Leamington based charity, The Pam Britton Trust for Dementia, at its successful launch earlier this month.
Guests enjoyed free champagne, canapés and live music from local artists including The Pips, Shanade and Chris Gibbons, as well as a chance to mingle with representatives from The Pam Britain Trust for Dementia who raised awareness for the trust and presented the charity raffle winners, Jean Enfell and Rick Stanforth, with their prize of a bottle of Veuve Cliquot champagne.
Kerry Ward from The Pam Britton Trust for Dementia commented: “We were delighted that Bedford Street chose to support The Pam Britton Trust for Dementia on their launch night. The evening seemed to be a great success and we really enjoyed the atmosphere, music, drinks and the food we tasted was delicious. We are extremely grateful for the generosity of the management and customers who raised £170 for the Trust and we hope to join up with them again in the future to raise money and awareness to help those recently diagnosed with dementia and their carers.” Comment ends.
Bedford Street aims to offer the people of Warwickshire a great new place in the centre of town offering breakfast, lunch and dinners and then turning into a late bar in the evenings with lots of events and classes to take part in as well as live music at the weekends, all at affordable prices. The new venue, with exposed brick walls and industrial style lighting is modern and edgy with a sense of fun injected into it with some quirky features. Unique to Leamington, Bedford Street is a stylish and quality venue for evening crowds or anyone wanting to enjoy a relaxed evening out in Leamington, with an extensive drinks selection, sharing style food platters and smaller dishes for people to enjoy with a bottle of wine or cocktails while they enjoy entertainment from some great live Jazz acts and local bands.
The venues refurb has had a substantial 5 figure investment and has created 12 new jobs since opening, with plans to expand the team further after the installation of a Bulmers garden, launching in May 2015, which will help bring the outdoor experience to a new level. Bedford Street will be 1 of only 50 venues nationwide to have a Bulmers Garden.
Matthew Dellapia, General Manager, commented: “We had an overwhelming amount of support and excitement from local businesses, press and residents ahead of our opening and at the launch party. Both we and our guests thoroughly enjoyed a successful launch and getting involved with The Pam Britton Trust for Dementia – a very worthy cause that is close to our hearts here at Bedford Street.”
