Raheem Sterling's latest Clarks Originals collaboration pays homage to Jamaica
Raheem Sterling is one of the Premier League’s best-dressed footballers, with his recently launched imprint, SIXTEEN NINETY TWO, already standing as Raz’s retirement plan for when he bows out of the beautiful game.
However, his imprint is already making moves in the footwear industry, having just presented a brand-new Wallabee collaboration with Clarks Originals. Coming as Sterling’s third collaboration with the British footwear brand, the high-top Wallabee silhouette is designed for navigating the great outdoors.
Made from technical quilted nylon with adjustable lace toggles, the quilted upper is crafted to mimic the appearance of a puffer jacket. Additionally, Sterling’s connections to Jamaica are present throughout the design, with the customary branded fob hit with embossed “Est 1962” typography — a nod to the year Kingston, Jamaica was founded.
Meanwhile, Jamaica’s Coat of Arms is stamped on the heel counter, while the grippy and durable rubber outsole is hit with a slew of contrasting earthy tones to round off the design. You can take a closer look at the new Raheem Sterling x Clarks Originals collaboration and it has been available to shop in the Clarks Originals flagship stores in London, Berwick Street location, Manchester, Osaka, Tokyo, and Beijing since yesterday (December 1).
