Pakistani-American star Ali Sethi is heading out on the road for a run of world-wide dates, including visiting the UK next week, with the set of intimate shows including a date at Birmingham's O2 Institute 2 on Saturday 18th November.
Ali became known worldwide following the release of global hit Pasoori. One of the most Googled songs of last year, hundreds of millions of listeners tuned into its timeless message of forbidden love.
The 'earwormy' single topped Spotify’s viral chart and put South Asia on the music map of 2022. Named to TIME Magazines ‘2022 TIME100 Next list,’ the New York City based performer spent his childhood in Lahore, in his native Pakistan and is now a U.S. citizen.
He infuses his music with the same multitudinous space that Sethi occupies - Punjabi folk mixed with contemporary beats and a queer aesthetic from South Asia.
